TWO goals from Charlotte Criddle fired Droitwich Spa Ladies to a 2-1 victory over Worcester United in the final of the Worcestershire FA Women’s Sunday Cup.
Held at Bewdley Town’s Ribbesford Meadow, unbeaten West Midlands Regional League Division One South leaders United took the lead in the first half.
Criddle then levelled the tie with a free-kick from the edge of the area which curled into the top corner with power, leaving the keeper with no chance.
And her second came when a corner was cleared to just outside the box where Criddle lobbed the keeper who was under pressure from Spa striker April Polden.
Spa boss Mark Solloway praised the performance and skipper Sammie Shail said: “Every player did their job and collectively produced a superb team result we should all be proud of.”
