Notable winners for the club included Ruth Hadley, Droitwich’s biggest source of medals – who took home a silver, four bronze medals, including two overall Senior Championship medals.

Elize Smith took a gold, two silver’s and two bronze medals, Martha Stead took two silver’s and three bronze, while Rebecca Hadley won two bronze.

From the boy’s that competed, George Grech won four bronze’s, while Alex Munro and William Hughes won one bronze medal apiece.

Further good news followed for the club after the times set by Grech, Munro, Smith, Stead, Ruth and Rebecca Hadley were enough to qualify them for the West Midlands Regional Swimming Championships in Spring.

Dolphins head coach Chris Hadley was delighted by the successful showing by the club in the Championships.

“I’m so proud of what this magnificent group of swimmers have achieved.

“Their hard work and dedication in training has paid off, and I’m so delighted with how they supported and cheered each other on throughout.

“There is a great team spirit within the club, and I’ve no doubt they will go on to more enjoy even more success in the future.”
