Droitwich Dolphins shine at Gloucester Open

DROITWICH Dolphins enjoyed a successful weekend at the Gloucester Open as they secured 89 personal bests, 31 medals and seven ‘speeding tickets’.

A team of 26 swimmers travelled to the GL1 Centre to compete in 112 races in two hot days of competition.

‘Speeding tickets’ are awarded to a swimmer at a graded meet who swims faster than the cut off time for an event.

The medal winners were: Harry Grech (gold, silver and one ST), George Grech (two golds), Patrick Florendo (gold, two silvers, one bronze and three STs), Oliver McCullogh (gold, silver, bronze and one ST), Lemuel Floredo (gold, silver, bronze), Martha Stead (gold and silver), Felicity Quiney (gold and bronze), Anja Kristy (gold), Bethan Stokes (two silvers, one bronze and one ST), Ashleigh Turner (two silvers), Abigail Haldane (silver and two bronzes), Matthew Daniels (silver and bronze), Rebecca Hadley (bronze) and Ruby Ingles (one ST).




Meanwhile, Ross Clark, Lillie Greenhill, Bethany Harding, Finley Jackson, William Johnston-Hubbold, Frankie Knight, Lola Maiden, Alfie Mossop, Abigail & Sophie Peart, Claude Rodriguez and William Turner all achieved personal bests.
