DROITWICH Mixed D boosted their hopes of survival in Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League Division Five West with a 4-0 victory over Hallow C.
Christina Sellers and Peter Fawcus were in scintillating form and won both of their matches 6-0, 6-0.
Liz French and Nigel Hughes were also in superb form as they won 6-3, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively to secure a straightforward victory.
The Mixed B dropped deeper into the Division Two drop zone following their defeat to Bewdley A.
Margaret Hughes and Ben Steel fought to the end in both of their matches but lost them 3-6, 5-7 and 2-6, 5-7.
Linda Price and John Moran also tried their best in both of their matches but fell to two 1-6, 5-7 and 1-6, 2-6 defeats.
Elsewhere, the Men’s D brought the curtain down on their Division Eight East campaign with a winning draw over Wall Heath C.
John Wright and Dave Wicks combined excellently to secure a 6-2, 6-2 victory in their first match followed by a 6-3, 6-2 win in their second.
Despite the best efforts of Ian Ross and Scott Gregory, they lost both of their respective matches 2-6, 3-6 and 3-6, 1-6 as Wall Heath levelled the scores.
The young pairing of James Stanford and Josh McEvilly produced an excellent performance to win their first match 6-4, 6-1 and despite a 7-6, 4-6, 4-6 loss in their second, they did enough to get Droitwich over the line and seal a winning draw.
This result leaves Droitwich fourth in the table.
