DROITWICH Spa Cricket Club begin their preparations for the forthcoming Worcestershire County League Division One season next week and are inviting potential new players to try out.
Indoor net sessions will take place every week between 8pm and 10pm at Worcester Grammar School starting on Thursday, February 16.
New first team captain Jake Young is keen to get his players well prepared for the new campaign which starts in April and his ranks have already been boosted by the welcome return of Ian Cottril who has switched from Worcester.
Outdoor practice will also be better for all junior and senior players following improvements to the surfaces in the nets at Spa’s St Peter’s Fields ground which has been undertaken with the help of sponsorship from Gaudet Luce Golf Club.
Any cricketers who have recently moved to Droitwich or are looking for a change of club are welcomed to attend the upcoming winter net sessions.
