A CLEAN sweep of gold medals had Droitwich Spa Judo Kan jumping for joy recently.

Three fighters competed at the Midlands Area Closed at Kingsbury Leisure Centre in Birmingham on Sunday February 10, where all three representatives brought home gold.

Shay Hall was the youngest participant and was taking part in his first competition, but had a gold medal to show for his efforts after demonstrating flawless technique.

His sister, Lauren Hall, followed up by claiming gold herself, demonstrating real determination in her battles.

Megan Skillern then completed the clean sweep by showing excellent technique and a firm understanding for the sport.

Head sensei at the club, Thomas Ewins, said all three did exceptionally well for their first competition to kick start the new year, and is very proud of what they all achieved.
