DROITWICH Spa Judo Kan celebrated more success recently, with two more medals for the club’s fighters.
Spa took two of it’s members to Kingsbury Leisure Centre to compete in the Amateur Judo Association Nationals, with Lauren Hall appearing in a national event for the first time in her career.
Competing in the -28kgs category, she displayed excellent technique and sportsmanship throughout her bouts, and took home a bronze medal for her efforts.
That success was followed up by Megan Skillern, who, in the +65kg category, took home the gold medal, before adding to her tally with another gold in the esquires category fights – the first she had competed in in her career.
Through her latest medal haul, Skillern automatically qualifies for the Amateur Judo Association national squad trip to Mierlo in the Netherlands in May.
