Droitwich Spa Pool League round-up

Craig Gibbons 22nd Nov, 2018

DROITWICH Spa Pool League leaders The Barley Mow quickly brushed aside last week’s first defeat of the campaign to run out 8-3 winners over The Hope Pole Blue Army.

However, their gap over second-placed Pillar of Salt has been closed to just one point following their 9-2 demolition of third-placed Doverdale Arms.

Salt ’n’ Asbo’s remain in fourth, despite loosing for the second week in succession, this time going down 7-4 to The Rifle No Mans, who now find themselves nine points clear of the bottom two following some good results this month.

The Working Mens Club have lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a 7-4 victory over The Hop Pole Green Army, a position now occupied by The Dovey who suffered a narrow 6-5 defeat at the hands of The Pillar of Dreams.

The mid-table clash between The Wessie Gardeners and The Wessie Saltmen proved to be a close affair, with the latter finishing on the better side of a 6-5 scoreline.
