THE Pillar of Salt have cut out of action The Barley Mow’s lead at the top of the Droitwich Spa Pool League to just three points after running out 7-4 winners over The Pillar of Dreams.
At the start of the month, Barley Mow had a 22-point lead.
Salt ’n’ Asbo’s swap places in the league with The Doverdale Arms.
An 8-3 win for the Asbo’s over Wessie Gardeners moved them into third place, with Doverdale dropping to fourth, despite their 6-5 victory over The Hop Pole Blue Army.
The Hop Pole Green Army now find themselves level on points with The Blue Army following their 7-4 defeat at the hands of bottom side The Dovey.
The team one place above the bottom, Working Mens Club, also recorded a victory as they ran out 6-5 winners over Rifle No Mans.
An under-strength Wessie Saltmen team performed well to overcome The Star Dinosaurs 7-4.
