DROITWICH Spa have announced the signing of Archie Woodall after securing international clearance to bring the local lad back to his hometown club.
Woodall joins Spa from Lancaster FC in Pennsylvania in the United States of America who play in the USL Academy League.
The central midfielder spent two years across the pond and also played academy football for University of Central Arkansas.
Woodall said: “I am excited to join Spa, I used to play here when I was younger so coming back to the club that helped me progress to academy football is great.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be a part of in terms of chasing promotion to Step Five which the club thoroughly deserves.
“I have found a much better set-up here compared to last time I played in Droitwich so I’m really excited for what the future brings.
“Hopefully we can push on towards promotion this season.”
The 19-year old played for a number of clubs at youth level including Cheltenham Town, Sutton Coldfield Town, Gresley Rovers and Tuffley Rovers, after beginning his football journey with Droitwich Spa Youth.
