DROITWICH Spa have announced the signing of 23-year old midfielder Nathan Binner from Stourport Swifts.
Binner progressed through the ranks at Bromsgrove Sporting, helping the club win the 2017/18 MFL Premier Division title and made a number of appearances at step four for the Rouslers.
He joined Stourport in 2021 and went on to play 57 games for the club, including nine in the Midland Football League Premier Division this season.
Binner lifted the Worcestershire Senior Cup with Stourport last season and appeared against Droitwich in the semi-finals of the competition last season.
Binner said: “I wanted a fresh start and I believe that joining Droitwich Spa FC is a good opportunity.
“I know a couple of the lads already and know that the club is going in the right direction, there are some great facilities here and I am really looking forward to getting started.”
Spa boss Andy Crowther added: “Nath has been another player on my radar for a while and to get this over the line is showing that our club is only moving in one direction.
“He is a versatile player who is very good on the ball and again fits in with what we are trying to achieve here at Droitwich Spa FC.”
The midfielder is available for selection for Droitwich’s fixture against Heather St. John’s this weekend with kick-off at 3pm at the King George Playing Fields.
