DROITWICH Spa have announced the signing of young goalkeeper Joel Chadwick after impressing for the Saltmen in pre-season.
The 20-year-old spent last season with Stourbridge under-21’s in the MFL under-21 West Division and helped the Glassboys to a third place finish, three points behind Spa who won the title.
The keeper recorded a second-half clean sheet in Spa’s narrow pre-season defeat against National League side Kidderminster Harriers, making a number of good saves in the process.
Chadwick said: “I am very happy to have joined a nice, friendly club, all the lads have welcomed me from the start. I can’t wait to get going now.”
Droitwich manager Andy Crowther added: “Joel has been superb throughout pre-season and has shown the quality that he has in goal.
“This will add to the quality that we already have for the battle to claim the number one shirt.”
Chadwick has also featured for Halesowen Town under-18’s and Redditch United.
