DROITWICH Spa clinched the Hellenic League Division One title with a 2-0 victory away at play-off chasing Shortwood United.
First-half goals from Nathan Binner and Alex Dugmore sealed the title for Spa at Meadowbank Stadium.
The Saltmen only needed a single point from the fixture to wrap up the title.
And Droitwich now hold an unassailable 14-point lead at the top of the table with just two matches left to play.
Promotion to Step Five means Droitwich will play in the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history next season.
Shortwood looked to spoil any potential promotion party early on as Dom Rogerson acrobatically tipped Alfie Bradshaw’s shot from the edge of the penalty area around the post.
Spa thought they had taken the lead soon after when Perry Moss fired a low shot into the bottom corner only for the referee to bring play back for a handball in the build-up.
However, Droitwich broke the deadlock on 31 minutes as Binner placed a shot into the top-right corner from six-yards out from Moss’s pass.
And Spa doubled their lead three minutes before the break when Dugmore powered home Binner’s corner from the left.
Rogerson kept the away side’s two-goal lead in tact prior to the interval as he made a fine reaction save to keep out Bradshaw’s header from close range.
Chances were at a premium after the break as Spa comfortably held onto their lead to seal the league title.
Spa secured a seventh successive victory in the league and recorded a 12th clean sheet, including three in their last four games.
Droitwich are next in action against Clanfield 85 on Saturday, April 5 with kick-off at 3pm at Radcot Road.
