PERRY Moss scored the winner as Droitwich Spa secured a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Coventry Copsewood.
Moss completed the turnaround shortly before half time after Josh Hurdman cancelled out Eden Mukenge’s opener at the King George Playing Fields.
And the result means Droitwich sit third in the Midland Football League Division One table three points behind Ingles in second with two games in-hand.
Coventry took the lead on 15 minutes when Mukenge beat the offside trap before cutting inside and finishing well past Ollie Sayer with the game’s first effort on goal.
However, Spa equalised eight minutes later as Hurdman unleashed a sublime effort into the top corner from 30-yards yards to draw the home side level.
And the Saltmen turned the game on its head on 43 minutes when an unmarked Moss found the far corner from close range after Connor Collins flicked on Jack Brighton’s free-kick.
The teams traded chances at the start of the second half as Hurdman fired over following some neat build-up play before Sayer made a sensational save to deny Harvey Wells from close range at the other end.
And Copsewood spurned two more glorious chances to equalise with Mukenge and Sam Ellis both wasteful in front of goal while Spa wasted a number of opportunities to add some gloss to the scoreline.
Droitwich are next in action away at Wednesfield on Saturday, February 10 with kick-off at 3pm at Amos Lane.
