CONNOR COLLINS scored a hat-trick to help Droitwich Spa on their way to a 5-0 win against Worcester City Reserves and advance to the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Saturday Cup.
Collins doubled the Saltmen’s lead after Alex Dugmore put the away side in front before James Lemon scored a stunning third goal for Andy Crowther’s side at Claines Lane.
And Collins would go on to complete his hat-trick with two further goals in the second period to condemn the Midland Football League Reserve Division to defeat.
Dugmore began the rout on 13 minutes when he scored a towering headed from Luke Molloy’s corner before Cory Rudd profited from a defensive mix-up to tee up Collins to make it two-nil.
And Lemon trebled the visitors lead when he cut in from City’s left and fired an unstoppable effort in off the underside of the bar from a tight angle.
Spa wrapped up the tie when Collins doubled his tally for the game after the striker profited from another Worcester defensive mix-up.
And it was soon five-nil when Collins completed his hat-trick with a tap in from Haydn Morris’s low cross to ensure Spa’s safe passage to the last four.
Droitwich will play Fairfield Villa in the semi-finals on Saturday, March 26 with kick-off at 2pm at Walshes Meadow.
