DROITWICH Spa exited the Marsh Challenge Cup at the fourth round stage after losing 2-1 against FA Vase semi-finalists Hartpury University.
Spa fought valiantly against the Hellenic League Premier Division leaders as Ben Tilbury drew the home side level after Luke Salter opened the scoring for the visitors at the King George Playing Fields.
However, substitute Morgan Ewing won the game for Hartpury 10 minutes from time as Andy Crowther’s side saw their seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end.
Droitwich are next in action against Carterton on Saturday, March 15 with kick-off at 3pm at Swinbrook Road.
