JAMES Lemon scored twice as Droitwich Spa continued their excellent pre-season form with an emphatic 4-0 win against step three Redditch United.

The Saltmen led by two goals at the break courtesy of Charlie Tilley’s opener and a trademark Alex Dugmore header.

And Lemon netted a brace in the second period to seal a memorable win at the King George Playing Fields although the game finished early after a stray ball hit a spectator.

Droitwich took the lead on 35 minutes when Tilley’s low drive found the back of the net.

And Spa doubled their advantage just two minutes later when Dugmore rose highest to head home at a corner.

Spa goalkeeper Joel Chadwick impressed between the sticks as he made a number of superb saves to keep Redditch at bay.

The home side made it three on 67 minutes when Lemon tapped home from close range after excellent work down the right by Jack Brighton.

And the scoring was complete on 79 minutes with Lemon again tapping home after fine work by Ollie Thompson down the right-hand side.
