DROITWICH Spa’s free-scoring season continued with a big 6-3 win away at Allscott Heath as the Saltmen secured a fourth successive victory in the league.

Alex Dugmore, James Lemon and substitute Sam Hurdman all scored braces to help Spa move up to fourth in the Midland Football League Division One table.

Allscott took an early lead before Dugmore’s header from Luke Molloy’s cross levelled the game on the stroke of half time.

And Spa completed the turnaround in the second half as Hurdman struck twice, either side of Dugmore’s second goal, to take the game out of Allscott’s reach.

Spa striker Lemon scored a brace of his own to extend the Saltmen’s lead before Allscott added some respectability to the scoreline with a couple of consolation goals.

There was also a first team debut for youngster Danny Barnes from the substitute’s bench after impressing for the club’s youth teams last season.

Droitwich are next in action at home to Sutton United on Saturday, September 9 with kick-off at 3pm at the King George Playing Fields.
