DROITWICH Spa are hoping to go one better in the Midland Football League Division One next season after the FA released the National League System club allocations for steps one to six.
The Saltmen enjoyed a memorable first season at step six as Andy Crowther’s side suffered play-off final heartbreak against Ashby Ivanhoe and reached the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
Spa are joined in MFL Division One by newly-promoted Allscott Heath and Sutton United whilst AFC Bridgnorth have been handed a reprieve from relegation.
And Heather St John’s have been relegated into the division with Spa to tussle with the likes of Bilston Town, Hinckley AFC and OJM Black Country once again.
The rest of the 20-team league is made up of Chelmsley Town, Coton Green, Coventry Copsewood, Cradley Town, Ingles FC, Nuneaton Griff, Paget Rangers, Shawbury United, Smethwick Rangers, Stapenhill, Wednesfield and Wolverhampton SC.
All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
