PERRY Moss scored a first-half hat-trick as Drotiwich Spa moved closer to securing the league title with a 5-1 victory at Kidlington Reserves.
Moss netted a 24-minute treble to put Spa in command before Nathan Binner and James Lemon struck after the break at Yarnton Road.
The result means Droitwich are now just four points away from clinching the Hellenic League Division One title with the Saltmen nine points clear at the top of the table.
Andy Crowther’s side made the perfect start as Moss broke the deadlock on eight minutes when he tapped home Josh Hurdman’s cross at the back post.
And Moss doubled Droitwich’s lead on 19 minutes with a fine solo goal as he took on his marker before firing a low shot past the despairing dive of Adam Dower.
Moss completed his hat-trick in style on 32 minutes as he collected a loose ball before chipping a shot over the onrushing Dower from 12-yards out.
Spa extended their lead on 59 minutes when Binner cut inside and curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.
Kidlington reduced the deficit four minutes later as substitute Mason Horwood tapped home after Droitwich failed to clear their lines at a corner.
However, Lemon completed the scoring eight minutes from time with a first time effort from Ben Tilbury’s flick-on.
Droitwich are next in action against Stonehouse Town on Tuesday, March 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Oldends Lane.
