DROITWICH Spa have confirmed the return of a number of players ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
Starting at the back, goalkeeper Dom Rogerson and defenders Jack Brighton, Lewis Phillips, Callum Green, Matt Jackson, Joe Clayton, Niall Doherty and Sam Carey have all agreed to remain with the club.
Rogerson suffered a serious injury last season but returned to the pitch against Kidderminster Harriers in a friendly as part of the club’s pre-season preparations.
Key defender Brighton is closing in on 150 appearances for the club while Phillips has also passed the 100-game mark for Spa.
Defenders Green, Jackson, Doherty and Carey all missed large parts of the 2023/24 season through injury while Clayton stepped up from the under-21s side towards the end of the campaign.
And Alex Dugmore also returns to the King George Playing Fields next season having scored 45 goals in 147 appearances in Spa colours.
Further up the pitch Cory Rudd, Charlie Tilley, Nathan Binner and Sam Hurdman have all signed on again along with youngsters Will Dallaway, Danny Barnes and Woody Hawkett.
Spa have also retained forward players James Lemon, Perry Moss, Josh Hurdman and Lucas Edmonds.
Club captain Lemon has scored a remarkable 227 goals in 292 appearances for the club while youth product Hurdman has impressed since making the step up to the first team.
Moss enters his fifth season with the club, having dazzled the Spa faithful during his time with the Saltmen while Edmonds has also signed on after rejoining the club last term.
