DROITWICH Spa have revealed their retained list ahead of the 2023/24 season with manager Andy Crowther and his coaching team to remain in their positions.

Crowther guided Spa to step six for the first time in the club’s history in 2021/22 and took the Saltmen to the Midland Football League Division One play-off final last term.

The Droitwich boss has won 64 of his 81 games in charge at an average of 2.28 points per game with Aaron Drake, Joe Mayo-Braiden, Matt Hunt, Matt Oliver and Chris Hunt all part of his management team.

At the top end of the pitch, captain James Lemon, prolific striker Connor Collins and fellow forwards Keatley Charles and Josh Hurdman haveĀ all agreed to stay with the club next season.

In midfield, key players Perry Moss, Luke Molloy, Cory Rudd and Jack Davies have all signed fresh terms along with talented trio Charlie Tilley, Ollie Thompson and Sam Hurdman.

And in defence, Scott Braiden-Smith, Alex Dugmore, Jack Brighton, Lewis Phillips and James Deeprose will all remain at the King George Playing Fields next term.

In addition, goalkeeper Dom Rogerson has signed on for the upcoming season, having enjoyed a breakthrough 2022/23 campaign as he recorded five clean sheets in 23 appearances.

However, first-team regular last season, Haydn Morris, was absent from the list.

The Saltmen begin pre-season with a home game against Alcester Town on Saturday, July 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Kingy’s with the match free entry to all.
