DROITWICH Spa edged closer to securing a play-off spot with an impressive 3-0 win against second-placed Allscott Heath.

A superb first-half display inspired Spa to a crucial win as Alex Dugmore scored a brace before Perry Moss struck shortly before the break at the King George Playing Fields.

And the result means Droitwich sit fourth in the Midland Football League Division One table with two games left to play.

Prior to kick-off, Charlie Tilley collected the Supporters’ Player of the Year award after Spa fans voted for their winner over the last few weeks.

And Spa took the lead after just four minutes when Dugmore scored yet another header with a bullet into the top corner.

Allscott goalkeeper Ross Bebb made a number of saves to keep his side in the contest before he inadvertently cleared the ball straight to Dugmore on 33 minutes who made no mistake from close range.

And the Saltmen sealed the points a couple of minutes before the break when Moss’s half volley found the bottom corner.

Droitwich travel to Sutton United on Saturday, April 20 with kick-off at 3pm at Coleshill Road and will seal a play-off place with a win.
