DROITWICH Spa have announced three pre-season friendlies which includes a home match against Kidderminster Harriers – Worcestershire’s highest ranked non-league team.
The Saltmen will play Kiddy on Tuesday, July 11 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the King George Playing Fields.
Kidderminster achieved promotion to the National League last season after they beat Brackley Town in the National League North play-off final.
Harriers spent five years as a Football League club after they won promotion to the old Division Three in 1999/2000 before they were relegated from League Two in 2004/05.
Just 12 miles separate the two clubs and Russell Penn’s squad includes the likes of Amari Morgan-Smith and Ashley Hemmings.
Droitwich also announced friendlies against Worcester City and Redditch United.
The Saltmen eased to a 3-0 win against Worcester in the Worcestershire Senior Cup last season in front of just shy of 1,000 supporters.
Droitwich travel to Worcester on Tuesday, July 18 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Claines Lane.
And the club entertain Southern League Premier Central side Redditch the following week.
The Reds reached the Worcestershire Senior Cup final last season and enjoyed a fine league campaign under Matt Clarke to finish ninth in the table ahead of local rivals Alvechurch and Bromsgrove Sporting.
Droitwich host Redditch on Tuesday, July 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kingy’s.
