DROITWICH Spa moved further clear at the top of the table following a comprehensive 5-1 victory against Paget Rangers at the King George Playing Fields.
Luke Molloy, Connor Collins, James Lemon, Perry Moss and Callum Green all found the net for Spa as the Saltmen extended their winning run to six matches in all competitions.
And the result means Droitwich lead the Midland Football League Division One table by three points, with a game in-hand on second-placed Allscott Heath.
Andy Crowther’s side took the lead on 18 minutes when Molloy broke the deadlock before Collins scored his 101st Droitwich goal at the back post six minutes later to double the home side’s advantage.
Spa went close to a third goal as the half wore on as Paget’s on-loan Walsall goalkeeper George Barrett kept put Scott Braiden-Smith’s powerful header.
However, the home side sealed the points early in the second half when Lemon robbed Barrett of possession inside the Paget penalty area before finishing into an empty net.
And Spa extended their lead just past the hour mark when Moss latched onto a through ball before coolly finding the net.
Paget reduced the deficit when Tobias Marshall finished from close range before Green headed home Alex Dugmore’s knock down to complete the scoring.
Droitwich are next in action at home to Smethwick Rangers on Tuesday, October 24 in the League Cup with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kingy’s.
