DROITWICH Spa have confirmed Sam Hurdman has decided to stay with the Saltmen for another season.

Hurdman initially departed the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.

However, the midfielder has now agreed to remain at the King George Playing Fields this season.

Hurdman has scored 13 goals in 67 appearances for Spa after coming through the club’s academy.

He made his first team debut in August 2022 in a 2-0 win against Coventry Copsewood.

Hurdman suffered a serious injury in 2023 which kept him on the sidelines for almost 18 months.

However, he returned to the pitch last season to help Droitwich finish third in the Hellenic League Premier Division while the club also reached the play-off final.

Hurdman had offers to play higher up the pyramid and the club initially confirmed his departure following the end of the previous campaign.

But Hurdman will now form part of Quentin Townsend’s squad of the upcoming season.
