DROITWICH Spa stretched their unbeaten run to 10 matches with a comfortable 4-1 win against Nuneaton Griff to guarantee they can finish no lower than fourth.
The Saltmen raced into a three-goal lead courtesy of strikes from Haydn Morris, Luke Molloy and James Lemon before Josh Hurdman completed the scoring in the second-half at the King George Playing Fields.
And the result means Droitwich sit third in the Midland Football League Division One table with just one match left to play although fourth-placed Ashby Ivanhoe are four points behind with four games in hand.
Droitwich took the lead after just four minutes when Morris collected the ball on the edge of the penalty area and scored a superb goal in off the post.
The visitors had plenty of chances to level but were unable to find a way past Dom Rogerson before Ross Thacker somehow scuffed wide when well-placed.
And Spa made Nuneaton pay for this missed opportunities when Perry Moss was fouled in the box and Molloy converted the resulting penalty as he sent Dale O’Donnell the wrong way from the spot.
Andy Crowther’s side extended their lead shortly before half time when leading scorer Lemon nodded home from a couple of yards out having been denied by a superb save moments earlier.
Nuneaton reduced the deficit just past the hour mark as Toby Bartram latched onto a through ball and left Rogerson with no chance when one-on-one.
The Saltmen eventually restored their three-goal lead five minutes from time when substitute Hurdman cut inside and found the corner of the goal with a precise finish.
Spa will be joined in the play-offs by Hinckley AFC, Ashby Ivanhoe and OJM Black Country.
Droitwich finish the season away at Cradley Town on Saturday, April 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Beeches View.
