THERE has been plenty of work going on off the pitch as Droitwich Spa FC prepare for the new season.

As the club prepares to compete in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One, it announced that its admission and season ticket prices would be frozen for the third successive season.

Usual admission for matches is £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and under-12s go free when accompanied by an adult.

Season tickets are £96 for adults and £60 for concessions – this includes those aged 65 or 12 to 18-year-olds.

Season tickets, which went on sale on Monday, are valid for all league home games, therefore equate to three games free for an adult and four games free for concession.

On-the-day admission can be paid for by cash or card.

Season tickets can be collected and paid for (cash or card) at the Pavilion Bar, Kingys during usual opening hours, or at the turnstiles of any upcoming home game.

The Saltmen will play a pre-season friendly away to Worcester outfit New Dales Vale on Tuesday, July 9 (7pm). Before the first home friendly next Saturday, July 13, against Kidderminster Harriers (3pm).

Ahead of that match, staff have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the ground ready for the season.

Sand has been used to level out the pitch which has benefited from superior drainage.

The dug-outs and stands have been deep cleaned, barriers repainted, the dressing room and reception areas have been revamped. And there have been improvements to the stadium bar, tea shack and also the pavilion bar.

It has been a real community effort with plenty of work going in and jobs being completed.

The club said: “We are humbled by the support of Spa Decorators and KB Decorators who respectively supplied paint and re-painted all the walls, so we are looking fresh and ready to go ahead of the 2024-25 season.

“Finally, we are very grateful for the support given to our club once again by LDM Renovations Ltd and AQ Kitchens who have carried out goalpost and stanchion base concreting (LDM) and the provision of new cupboard units (AQ Kitchens).”
