A FORMER Premier League star is looking to put footballers who are over the age of 35 through their paces in Droitwich this month.

Every Wednesday throughout August, Dean Holdsworth, who made his name playing for Wimbledon and Bolton Wanderers in the 1990s, will be holding training sessions at Droitwich High School.

Holdsworth, who is a qualified UEFA coach, made 610 league appeared and scored 193 goals during his career, which also saw him play for clubs such as Brentford, Coventry City and Derby County.

The aim of the sessions, which will start at 6.30pm, is to entice footballers to play for Droitwich Veterans Over 35s and Over 50s teams who are looking to emulate their cup and league successes of last season.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact Dave Price 07733 120732 or John Garvey 07827 445137.
