DROITWICH Spa thrashed Gloucestershire Northern Senior League high-fliers Bredon to seal their place in the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Junior Cup.
Wayne Oliver’s and Mark Owen’s men travelled into the unknown on Saturday to take on a previously unbeaten Bredon side.
But in the end they had nothing to worry about as they overpowered their opponents with goals from Nick Seabourne, Max Crisp, James Lemon and Grahame Pardoe.
Spa dominated from the kick off as they heaped pressure on the hosts whose defenders had a busy afternoon.
Clear-cut chances were at a minimum in the first half, but it was only a matter of time before Droitwich opened the scoring. Seabourne headed home after some clever work by James Lemon.
The second soon followed as Lemon was tripped in the area and Max Crisp stepped up to convert the spot kick.
Oliver and Owen then made an inspired double substitution as Brad Burgess and Josh Seikora-Warmington came off the bench and combined for Lemon to tap home from close range.
But Droitwich saved their best until last when Pardoe picked the ball up in midfield and rifled home from 30 yards.
