TWO Gaudet Luce GC juniors put on an exceptional display of golf at the Midlands qualifying event for the American Golf Junior Championship to make it through to the final which will be televised on Sky Sports.
Leading the way in the gross competition was Constance Brooks who recorded a hugely impressive one under par total, despite playing off a handicap of five, to make it through to the UK and Ireland final at Gainsborough Golf Club, home to tournament sponsor PING.
Constance was motivated to enter this year’s competition after caddying for her sister in the 2016 Championships and experiencing the amazing atmosphere.
Joining Constance from Guadet Luce is fellow junior member Hayden Sarfo, who won the Future Star U8 competition for the second consecutive year.
Sarfo qualified with an impressive total of 33 over nine holes and is hoping to go one step further in this year’s competition after coming second in the last year’s National Finals.
The American Golf Junior Championship will be shown on Sky Sports in October.
