GAUDET Luce Golf Club raised more than £2,700 for charity at the club’s annual Captain’s Day event.
The club were raising funds for Dementia UK with the colour yellow a theme of the day.
Many members wore yellow shirts as 75 players took on 18 holes of golf with a prize on offer at each and every hole.
And some holes provided members with difficult challenges including a trick shot show with professional Jeremy Dale at the first.
Dale expertly drove the ball off a tee raised one-metre from the ground as several Gaudet Luce players tried and failed to match him.
Hole two was a challenge to beat Gaudet Luce’s own professional golfer Adam Whiting while hole three challenged players to perform the longest drive with just a driver head and a grip.
And the round finished with a chipping competition, following the completion of all 18 holes.
Club captain Chris Hobbs auctioned off a number of prizes and was delighted to announce the club had raised more than £2,700 for Dementia UK after a vibrant raffle.
The Droitwich club recently saw young member Maisie Whittall claim victory on the world stage in the under-15 girls age category at the Champion of Champions World Championship competition.
Whittall secured a remarkable five-shot victory with rounds of 73, 78 and 73 at Ireland’s Lough Erne Resort.
