LEFT-BACK Jamie Smith has agreed to return to parent club Worcester City following a loan spell at Droitwich Spa.
Smith made 35 appearances for the Saltmen last season, helping himself to four goals and 18 assists under the guidance of joint-managers Wayne Oliver and Mark Owen.
Speaking of his return to Midland League Premier Division outfit City, Smith said: “I feel privileged and excited to be back and playing for my hometown club.”
Smith progressed through the Blue and Whites’ youth academy before he was brought into the first team by then manager Carl Heeley.
A particular highlight for the youngster was a stunning free-kick against Boston United in a 2-1 win at Aggborough during the 2015/16 season.
He then went out on loan to Spa despite signing for the 2016/17 campaign.
