Masons take top spot - Droitwich Pool League latest

BARLEY Mow suffered their first defeat of the Mid-West Premiership season and lost top spot as a result.

The Hop Pole were the shock 5-4 winners in the week 12 fixture, a result which pushed The Hop Pole up to fifth in the table.

Barley Mow slipped to second after a 9-0 thrashing of The Wessie Wanderers sent Masons All Chalked Up top by three points.

It was the second whitewash of the season for the new table-toppers, who share an identical record of nine wins and a loss with Barley Mow

Never in Salted stay third, courtesy of a second consecutive 7-2 win against The Pillar of Dreams, while Salt ‘n’ Asbo’s sit six points behind after beating The Pillar of Salt 6-3.

Elsewhere, The Dovey beat The Doverdale Arms for the second time in three weeks, running out 6-3 winners to rise from the bottom of the table into ninth place.

The Star & Garter sit in eighth, after edging tenth-placed DWMC 5-4 in an away fixture.
