A NEW coaching development centre has been opened at Ombersley Golf Club by the Worcestershire and Herefordshire Ladies County Golf Association.
Professional Jamie Hodges is responsible for the girls coaching at Ombersley and will be assisted by fellow member Helen Lane who has been appointed county development centre manager.
The aim of the development centre is to provide regular, high-quality coaching to girls to help them improve and keep playing the sport.
This is the first level of the county coaching programme – spotting and nurturing talented players and putting them forward for county, regional and national training programmes.
A spokesperson for Ombersley GC said: “This is a prestigious opportunity for Ombersley Golf Club which recognizes the development of its juniors section and its excellent professional staff.”
