A TOTAL of 15 parishes took part in the Wychavon Parish Games Angling event as Norton and Lenchwick emerged as overall winners.
The event, sponsored by the Bait Box in Evesham, lasted for six hours.
And Norton and Lenchwick took the overall title with seven points while Bretforton finished second on nine points with Evesham Little Hampton third.
Last year’s winners Hill and Moor finished fourth.
The other parishes to take part were: Harvington, Evesham Bengeworth, Eckington, Wick, Wyre Piddle, Inkberrow, Broadway, Sedgeberrow Crowle, Honeybourne and Pebworth.
Norton and Lenchwick’s Reg Talbot won the inidvidual prize for a catch which weighed in at 8lbs 13oz.
The first final of the Wychavon Parish Games knockout events also took place.
Evesham Bengeworth beat Broadway in the ladies darts final, sponsored by the Valkyrie Bar.
