THE PILLAR of Salt extended their lead at the top of the Droitwich Spa Oakwell Brewery Premiership to six points following their 7-2 victory over previously unbeaten Young & Old Ringers.
Apart from the league leaders, the Hop Pole Green Army are now the only other team with a 100 per cent record following their narrow 5-4 victory over Bite the Pillar.
Third placed Pillar of Dreams also defeated another previously unbeaten team, running out 6-3 winners over the Doverdale Arms while Westcroft Arms also lost for the first time this season after being on the wrong side of a 5-4 result to Bells Belles.
Meanwhile, Barley Mow claimed their first victory of the campaign by virtue of a 6-3 win over fellow strugglers The Dovey – who are yet to win this season.
The Freemasons and Bite the Pillar still await their first win of the season.
