NORTH East Worcestershire Ravens saw their final Midlands Premier Division game of the season cancelled as scheduled opposition Birmingham Bulldogs have dropped out of the league.
Ravens had tried to arrange a friendly fixture but to no avail as those clubs without games wanted only a home fixture.
It was a tough season for Ravens, who only played three home fixtures all season, all of which were in May and June.
Ravens have travelled far and wide this season to ensure they play as many fixtures as possible, even heading on long journeys with only 13 men.
Club spokeswoman Gail Fry said: “Although it has been a tough year, we are proud of our accomplishments and are one of very few teams that have pulled only one game all season, which was due to illness and injuries.
“We are building a stronger club with a great group of lads who are starting to bond on and off the pitch.”
Ravens have another game to go as they have made the play-offs and they will be away to Sherwood Wolf Hunt this Saturday for a knockout game.
Junior training will come to a close on Sunday, when there will be an awards presentation and a barbecue to celebrate the season.
