REPORT
Match day four of the Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination Football League saw plenty of drama whilst the Terry Cup began with fixtures in round’s one and two.
In the Premiership, last year’s top of the table clash from the Bromsgrove League – Rubery Athletico versus Quinton Athletic – saw Rubery claim a 2-1 win to ensure they remain unbeaten at the summit.
In the Championship, SSS Lions’ clash with Meadow Park finished in a six-goal thriller with SSS winning 4-2 to maintain their winning ways.
The Championship’s top scorer Jack Cole carried on his scoring form with another goal helping AFC Walkwood and Feckenham beat Abbeydale 3-0.
Beoley Village won their first league game of the season with two goals apiece from Jake Reeves and Prince Dadson beating Queens Head 6-3.
In the other game, Astwood versus Redditch Borough NT finished 1-3 with two goals from Will Skelton.
In League 1, Redditch Borough LA versus Bromsgrove Rangers finished a tidy 1 all draw keeping them in settled places in the table.
In League 2, Rubery Memorial were back to winning ways with a 5-1 win against Bartley Reds B with two goals from Daniel Bramwell.
In round one of the Terry Cup, Redditch Town are through to the next round after a 4-2 win against Frankley United with two goals each from Chris Adams and Ryan Sproston.
FC Arrow Spa are also through to round two after Shay Palmer and Brooklyn Smith scored two goals each to help them claim a 7-1 win against Oasthouse Athletic.
In round two of the Terry Cup, Arrow Valley versus Rednal Bilbao finished 1-1 at full time with Rednal Bilbao winning 4-3 on penalties.
Red Star Bromsgrove are also through round three after beating Astwood FC Reds 5-2.
Austin Ex-Apps narrowly got themselves over the line with a 2-1 win over League 1 side Churchfields whilst Catshill beat AFC Thomas Brothers 2-0 to secure their place in the next round.
Crusaders and Stoke Prior drew 4-4 at the full time whistle wit Jordan Louth netting a hat trick as Stoke Prior went on to secure their place in the next round after winning 4-3 on penalties.
FC Redditch and South Birmingham Activ drew 1-1 in an interesting match with FC Redditch winning 4-3 on penalties.
Redditch Borough JW easily secured themselves a place in the next round beating Lydiate Casuals 4-0 with a Keiron Donnelly hat trick.
Lastly, VKL United were beaten 4-2 by Headless Cross with John Manison scoring a hat trick.
