REPORT
Only five games were lost to the bizarre weather conditions over the weekend with two matches taking place in the Championship.
Abbeydale returned to winning ways with a 5-1 thumping of Queens Head as Dave Phelan and Callum Banner both scored twice whilst edditch Borough JW remain top after a 3-2 win against SSS Lions.
In League 1, Bromsgrove Rangers thrashed Churchfields 7-0 to move up to second in the table as Thomas Smith netted a hat-trick.
And in League 2, Redditch Town moved second with a 4-1 win against Lydiate Casuals as Chris Adams scored a hat-trick.
In the Supplementary League, VKL United maintained their perfect record with a 4-2 success against Bartley Reds B as Mal Williams struck twice whilst Arrow Valley also stayed perfect with an impressive 4-0 win against AFC Thomas Brothers.
And in the Jim Fleeman Cup, South Birmingham Activ advanced to the quarter-finals with a comfortable 5-1 win against Oasthouse Athletic as Lee Jagger and David Marsh both scored twice whilst Rubery Memorial beat FC Redditch 4-0 to reach the semi-finals where they will host Rednal Bilbao.
In the Dick Parsons Cup, Headless Cross reached the semi-finals with a narrow 2-1 win against Hizza United and will meet Redditch Borough JW in the last four.
And in the BCFA Roger Wood Memorial Cup, Rubery Athletico advanced to the semi-finals after a big 7-0 win against Quinton Athletic as Brogan Halpin scored all seven of Rubery’s goals.
Lastly, in the Bromsgrove Charity Minor Cup, Rednal Bilbao beat Frankley United 5-2 as Jimmy Ward scored all five of Rednal’s goals to send Bilbao through to the final where they will face either Churchfields or Rubery Memorial.
