Saltmen make pavilion development plea

Droitwich Editorial 28th Jan, 2021   0

A plea has been made by Droitwich Spa Football Club to support the club in developing King George’s Sports Pavilion through the Wychavon Community Legacy Grant.

The grant, organised by Droitwich Spa Town Council, involves a competitive bidding procedure and so requires community backing to push through Spa’s plans for refurbishment works.

Currently, the ground is used by the town’s hockey club, boxing academy and the Saltmen’s football sides – other than the first team – meaning an update to the facility is a much-needed one.

In full, the development proposes the installation of a clubroom – which doubles up as an education facility – better changing facilities, outside toilets and an updated kitchen, all of which provide a use to the greater community.

The club ask locals interested in getting behind the plans to email their support of Droitwich’s vision to [email protected], or by contributing to the club’s GoFundMe page which can be accessed by visiting @DroitSpaFC on Twitter or by heading to the following link.
