Siblings bring home medals for Droitwich Spa Judo Kan

DROITWICH Spa Judo Kan kept it in the family at the Buyen Championships, after siblings Lauren and Shay Hall took home medals in the tournament at Kingsbury Leisure Centre in Birmingham.

Participating in the U22kg category, Shay came away with a gold medal, despite entering the category as a novice.

His determination and will to win, combined with the skill and technical quality which he demonstrated, helped him rank as the best fighter in his group.

Shay’s sister Lauren equally impressed, and despite not matching the efforts of her brother, fought incredibly well, forging some strong attacking moves, and took home a bronze medal.

Regional coach Thomas Ewins said he and the rest of the club were proud of the achievements of it’s members, and invite anyone interested in joining the club and trying out Judo Kan for themselves to get in touch.

The club train twice a week at Westlands Community Hall, with Thomas being available for contact at [email protected], or on 01905796365.
