DROITWICH Spa produced their best and most comprehensive performance of the season as they put six past Coton Green.
Three weeks ago Coton held Spa to a 2-2 draw, but this time it was one-way traffic as the latter cruised to an impressive victory in the Midland Football League Division Two clash.
Droitwich started brightly and were soon on the front foot creating chances and forcing some last ditch defending from the visitors.
It was only a matter of time before the deadlock was broken and then the floodgates opened. Nick Seabourne struck twice while James Lemon and Jack Brighton also got on the scoresheet.
Mike Seeley hit his first of the season before Macauley Finch capped off a fine team effort with his side’s sixth.
The match extends Spa’s unbeaten streak to 12 and they will be in confident mood ahead of their clash against bottom club Earlswood Town.
However, joint-manager Wayne Oliver said he was wary of their winless opponents.
“We will have to be on guard again this week as Earlswood will be looking for their first win of the season,” he said.
“Our supporters have been fantastic and turned out in force on Saturday and hopefully they will do the same again this week.”
