Spa go fourth after hitting four past Earlswood

Droitwich Editorial 18th Sep, 2015 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016

DROITWICH Spa continued their good start to the season with a comfortable win at Earlswood Town on Saturday.

Nick Seaborne, James Lemon, Mark Burrows and Macauley Finch all netted as the visitors wrapped up a stunning victory in Midland Football League Division Two.

Spa dominated from the outset and were rewarded with a Seabourne strike on 15 minutes. This was followed by a goal of real quality as a sweeping move resulted in Lemon bagging his seventh goal of the season.

After quickly taking a 2-0, Droitwich took the foot off the gas, which allowed Earlswood back into it, but they failed to trouble keeper Matt Oliver.

Spa’s third goal came midway through the second half when Burrows got on the end of a corner to scramble the ball home.

Finch then rounded off his side’s showing with a 20 yard bullet, which left Earlswood’s keeper with little chance of stopping it.

Meanwhile, Fairfield Villa suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of in-form Rostance Edwards at the Recreation Ground.
