FOR many footballers it is a dream to score a hat-trick in a competitive match – but Droitwich Spa’s Nick Seabourne scored two hat-tricks in one match!
Seabourne told the Standard could not believe his luck after he netted SIX goals in the Saltmen’s record-breaking 10-1 win over Sutton United last Saturday.
The right winger played upfront, replacing top scorer James Lemon and made an instant impression.
“It was one of them games where everything I touched seem to go in the net – it was incredible,” said Seabourne.
“I get chances to score in a lot of games but you never expect to bag six goals in one game.
“Our regular striker was not playing so I got to play up front – I suppose I’ve done him proud.
“Week in, week out, we are creating that many chances but we had been struggling to find the net so I think that Saturday’s win was waiting to happen. It was also great for the team to get double figures as well.”
