WESTBURY Celtic under-15s Tigers and Youth capped off a wonderful trophy-glittered season with 100 per cent winning records in their respective Saturday and Sunday leagues.

The Tigers enjoyed a fantastic campaign in Pool A of the Saturday Evesham Ambassador League, winning all 12 of their league games to clinch the title with ease.

They also walked away with Evesham Ambassador League Cup after running out comprehensive 5-0 winners over Pool A runners-up Alcester Town Juniors.

However, the Tigers missed out on securing the treble after losing 2-1 to Worcester City in the final of the Worcester County Cup.

Celtic’s Youth team eased to the Sunday Central Warwickshire Division Two title after winning all 14 of their league games as well as claiming two pieces of silverware to secure the treble.

They defeated Leafield Athletic 3-0 in the final of the Central Warwickshire League Cup before defeating WCT Raiders by a similar scoreline in the final of the Worcester County Cup.

Westbury Celtic under-15s coach Mark Farndon said: “The under 15s’ league success is achieved through a great team-spirit, friendship and willingness to work hard and support each other.

“What makes their achievements even more remarkable is they also got through to four cup finals, winning three.”
