ANT AND Dec put on a performance to remember and set the standards high for the rest of their Saturday Night Takeaway Tour at the LG Arena in Birmingham on Saturday (August 9).

Opening the show, Andy Collins did a fantastic job of warming up the audience and getting them ready for the Geordie duo, both 38, to put on a spectacular night packed with games, pranks and laughter.

The newly-crowned double BAFTA award winners took the stage by storm with material suitable for adults and children alike engaging all 13,000 members of the audience, varying from ages five to 75, from the offset.

Not only did the duo’s antics leave everyone’s stomachs hurting with laughter but they were truly entertaining – making you really appreciate their off the cuff comedy and live performance.

Special guests Stephen Mulhern, former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, boyband Blue and Irish dance phenomenon Riverdance also made appearances.

One of the favourite games of the night was ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Out of My Ear’ which saw a fantastic performance from Stephen Mulhern who had to wear an ear piece and bow to the whims of Ant and Dec.

The naughty pair had Stephen secretly film a unsuspecting member of staff and behave rather badly to see how he would react – leaving everyone in hysterical laughter.

One lucky member of the audience also played Win the Ads and took home a bundle of prizes including a brand new Suzuki Swift and a £2,500 First Choice holiday.

The Bad Behaviour Awards was also a big hit – the name and shame game saw one audience member nominated for putting laxatives in her boss’ tea, another was for a man who plastered a prawn sandwich into someone’s ceiling and one was for a son who secretly used his mum’s best kitchen scissors to trim his neither regions.

This unmissable act is worth every penny – the pair have great chemistry and made it clear why they are still managing to wow audiences 26 years on.
