NEARLY 100 people gathered around the War Memorial in Victorian Square today to mark Armistice Day (November 11).
The small service to mark Armistice Day – a day which marks the end of the First World War – was held by the Droitwich Royal British Legion Branch.
Prayers, condolences and a two-minute silence were held as well as special words from Revd Nigel Byard and Mayor George Duffy.
The ceremony finished with three wreaths placed on the war memorial by the Chairman of Droitwich RBL Alan Humphries, Mayor George Duffy and two young representatives from Chawson First School.
