CHURCHFIELDS in Droitwich is celebrating after being nominated for two Visit Worcestershire Awards.

The farm was nominated for the Taste of Worcestershire Award and Small Visitor Attraction of the Year.

Gillian Kerton, owner of Churchfields, said: “As a fun-loving family ourselves, we know how hard it can be to find things to do with the kids, and we always made our own fun growing up on the farm.

“It has been very rewarding to translate our family’s ideas into sell-out events and see other Worcestershire families enjoying our farm.”

The company hopes to beat the other competition to win the top spot at the glistening award ceremony.

A total of 37 businesses have been shortlisted as finalists for the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards, which aims to celebrate the best tourism offerings in the county.

Dominique Bray, Business Growth Manager, Visit Worcestershire, said: “After the success of our first Tourism Awards last year, we are delighted to be hosting the awards once again, bringing together and celebrating the success stories of the Worcestershire visitor economy.”

A thorough judging process has occurred over the past few months, with specialised judges and industry experts called upon from across the sector to help crown the best of Worcestershire tourism businesses.

Another Droitwich business that was nominated for the Visit Worcestershire Awards was All’Angelos.

Finalists will be announced at the Treetops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, on March 24.
