Nominate a Worcestershire healthcare hero for NHS patient choice award

RESIDENTS across Worcestershire are invited to nominate their ‘healthcare heroes’ in an upcoming NHS staff awards ceremony.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is encouraging people who have accessed NHS community and mental health services in the last 12 months to nominate an outstanding team, or staff member for the prestigious Patient Choice award.

The award recognises staff who have gone above and beyond in their role to make a positive difference to their patients.

Last year, the Trust provided care to over a million people across a range of services including mental health and learning disabilities, community hospitals, minor injury units, health visiting, specialist dental services and sexual health.

Robert Mackie, chief executive said: “In my first awards as Chief Executive, I look forward to celebrating the outstanding work that our staff and teams do and recognising those who wholeheartedly went above and beyond expectations during the last 12 months.

“All the categories in our awards are special, but to be nominated for the impact you’ve had on the life of a patient, service user or their families and carers is a real honour.

“If someone involved in your care deserves standout recognition, please complete a nomination and let us know.”

Visit www.hacw.nhs.uk/patientchoice2024 to complete a nomination form. Entries close on Friday 19th July 2024.
